- In order to be a good Surreal photographer you have to be European
- Overlaying textures is a good way to enhance a surreal image
- A very desaturated, one tone look helps blend the image together
- You can't plan surreal photography - in order to create an effective a surreal image it has to come from the subconscious, so is therefore rarely planned out.
- The aim of Surrealism is to evoke emotion in the viewer

I love the European comment - it reminds me of the "Diary of a Genius" by Salvador Dali when he says that to be a great surrealist painter you should be named Salvador Dali!
